Dear all,

Churches are symbols of shared hope and resilience.

Our current pandemic like the financial crisis a few years ago, has dealt a strong blow to the idea that humans flourish independently from one another, or from the world in which we live. People are once again discovering God’s message that the way of life is one of involvement with God’s Creation and with the people around us, not independence from either.

Many including myself are encouraged to see the new Government restrictions endorse the safe gathering of people at public worship, for those churches still open. It is very clear: familiar safeguards must remain in place and be strictly observed as we protect each other from the virus.

Keeping our churches open must remain an imperative symbol to serve our communities. Our open churches provide us with the hope and resilience that fortifies human lives in a unique and irreplaceable way, providing us with the strength to serve others, particularly at such a time of communal crisis.

Dear Friends,

The latest lockdown rules have no effect upon the ‘current’ benefice pattern of services, however should that change I will update you.

The government in consultation with the bishops covid advisory panel,  has expressed confidence in keeping our churches open.

There is no evidence to suggest churches spread corona, therefore let us uphold the government’s confidence of the church, by keeping to the biosecurity procedures in your parish church.

Every Blessing

From the Rector, Church Wardens, and all those who attend our six churches we would like to offer you a warm welcome.

Church is more than a building! It is a living breathing community of people who come together who seek. The Benefice is made up of many seekers from different denominations who support their local church and each other, this diversity is held within the baptism of the one Lord, in which the spiritual doors have opened into a relationship with God.

Being committed to that spiritual journey is to undertake the self assessment of what separates us from God – we can push Him away, we can close the door on Him however, with God’s forgiveness, an open heart and mind and with the assistance of each other we can draw closer to Him, – the one who gives us life.

All are welcome!

For God so loved the word that he sent his only Son Jesus Christ. – John 3:16
